Starlight Discrete DAC – Build Part 1

I don’t like doing the metalwork and perhaps this is the main reason why I ended up delaying the build. Gladly I finish all the drilling and milling required for the DAC. The output transformers were changed to Sowter 9062 (more to follow on this). The outputs have a differential as well as RCA outputs. All good now to do the wiring:

  1. I cant understand why you dont like metalwork, your so good at it. Love the style of your constructions. Where do you get the bars you use for the capacitors?

    1. It’s been a long journey, getting better but still hate it. No matter how much effort and reading I put into this 🙂
The bars are plain 5mm x 5mm (or 4×4) bars cut to size. I can’t find the internet seller, but ping me an email and will try to locate it on my archive
      thanks
      Ale
