Updated 6e5P SPICE model

6e5p under test

Having fixed the bias offset problem in my tester (actually my oscilloscope). I took again the curves this evening to get a better model….

If you want to read how did I manage to get here, please read this post

  1. Hi Ale,

It seems you have had some difficulty getting the 6E5P Triode trace sorted to being correct.

As I am considering using 6E5P Triode into LL1660/18mA Alt Q, 4.5:1 stepdown, as the line output stage of Allen Wright’s FVP5A/SVP1 preamp, I am especially hopeful to know…if the last trace above can be considered to be *definitive*?

If so, good, even perfick! If not, I am at sea with many unknowns…and may have to just try it and see, with the fall-back position of using Sylvania GB 5687 for line out with the same transformer.

Your help/confirmation would be much appreciated.

    Very Best,

    Robert
